Past (Poem)

I sit and I watch,
As the day turns slowly past,
Time never stops to consider the last.

It flies and it drifts,
As the world mills below,
Time never stops to suit those we know.

We run and we hide,
As it searches life's rim,
Time never stops, the past is too grim.

The Cat (haiku poem)

A feral phantom:
Grass silent beneath fierce paws
Covered with black soot

Time (poem)

I wonder what would happen if time ran out.
Would everything freeze and stay as it was?
Or would it shatter into a million, implacable pieces,
That would float away and never come back?

Though, I doubt I'll make it to the end of time,
Or if anyone will at all,
But I think I have the right to speculate
On what is to come, instead of circumventing
On what is already done.

People always say to look to the past,
When something puzzling needs getting done,
But the past can't speculate on what is to come
As nothing ever turns out the same as it was.

But no one can say for sure what is already done,
Though they could write what it might hold,
I have to say that the past may hold little resemblance
To the events that they said unfold.

And if you press to hard to try to control,
Everything, both done and to come,
Will crack at its leather-bound seam,
The seam that was never reinforced
Despite the fact that the pages it held together,
Were written up and read abroad and speculated on,
But the seam never was.

I can't say with certainty what is to come,
Or even what's already done,
And I don't know how much time is left
Before time runs out
But I can say that the seam still needs to be reinforced,
Before anything more can be written.

Kusajishi Yachiru (image)

Yes, I'm obsessed with the anime show Bleach right now.  It's just so. . . .so cool!  This is the lieutenant of the 11th division, Kusajishi Yachiru.  I spent an entire night on this little image and my fingers hurt from all the smudging and painting.

I wasn't exactly sure what to put in the background, so I decided on feathers, flowers, and a whole lot cherry pink.  I think it describe her bubbly, flowery personality perfectly.  The cherry pink just describes her hair.

When I first painted it, it looked really washed out.  There was just too much pink.  So, I added some dark reds and purples into the background and outlined her face with some black. It worked. . . .I think.

Anyway, happy middle of the week!  I might be adding a few more images before the weekend as I've fallen in love with digital art.  I was thinking of doing Renji or Rangiku next, but you never know.

Peace!

Hitsugaya Toshiro (image)

Here is my second attempt at digital art.  And the subject is. . . .Hitsugaya Toshiro!  If you don't know who he is, he's the coolest, awesomest, most amazing character ever from the anime Bleach.

I did this while having major stomach upset and a terrible cold, so I think it turned out pretty well given the circumstances.  Plus, I finally found the smudge tool!!!!!! That's why it looks all cool and blended.

I had a lot of fun doing Hyorinmaru (the dragon) in the background, even though it took forever.  Originally, the background was just a pale blue, but then I accidentally smeared white across it and I decided to turn my mistake into a dragon.  It turned out looking more like a vaguely shaped lump of snow than the finely chiseled ice I was going for, but it works.

Anyway, hope you like it!

Peace,
